STRAIGHT TALK: KIZZY W ATTACKS SKINNYBOI KPANTO “YOUR POST IS FULL OF NEGATIVE VIBE”
When i saw Kizzy’s reply to Skinnyboi Kpanto’s post, i practically asked myself this Question “What did Kpanto say that is actually wrong?” this could just be a PR move for a new song, but to avoid being bias i decided to read the interaction between the two all over again to really understand both parties, i didn’t want to have any misconception about the all issue.
These are KPANTO’S words “U say u the best then u scary to get on a song with me…Ayy Lib rappers…my side hurting i know allor them…” KPANTO was being direct without actually mentioning a name, but the fact that KIZZY got involved in the fries gave us a face to point fingers at, i don’t think there’s barely anyone that didn’t feel KPANTO was addressing REVOLUXON after seeing KIZZY’S comment or did you think differently? To fuel your thoughts, these are KIZZY’S words to SKINNYBOI KPANTO “smh… music should be fun and not competition and your post is full of negative vibe dude… No one is afraid of no one and if u cant get a person on a song its because you are not passing the proper channel”, Mehn! i was reading this with so much excitement in me, cause i couldn’t wait to share my own views on it.
No doubt, KIZZY is totally right about music being fun but one thing an artist of his calibre should actually know without no one telling him is that music is competition, How will you say music isn’t competition? If there’s no competition in music then we wont have stuffs like A list Artist, B list Artist, and many more, these are ways artist are being graded around the world and obviously KIZZY knows this because he is being regarded as an A list artist here in Liberia.
Should we now support this motion by talking about why artist go all the way to brand themselves? Artist simply do this to standout, cause if you can be more unique than another artist, value will be placed on you, and when i talk value, i am talking financial reward and awards for your music, without competition branding will be useless, infact for this reason multinational companies wont count it fit to use entertainers as their ambassadors.
I still don’t have an 100% proof that KPANTO was actually talking to REVOLUXON, But no matter how the sword swings, whether he is talking to him or not, i should say that the tail end of KIZZY’S comment was absolutely appropriate, and that is,”no one is afraid of no one, and if u cant get a person on a song its because you’re not passing through the proper channel”, KIZZY Spoke some words here, Liberian music needs to stop that over familiarity thing, and get to business. Just because you know someone doesn’t mean there should be a free job for you, as much as you have a manager or a record label these other artist also have a label and a manager, so go through the right channel as KIZZY said, and trust me everyone will go home smiling.
