F.A’s backdoor entry reminds me of a statement made by the late Afro pop legend Fela Anikulapo Ransome Kuti “Black man for face, white man for yansh”. This describes the deceitful and unjust nature of our own people based on how they aided the cruel campaign of the western world against Africa relating to slavery and colonial governments imposed on us. I would be too harsh if I condemn F.A of being deceitful and unjust for being nominated for a credible award like NEA (Nigerian Entertainment Awards). Why should I? But this is why Fela’s quote was stated out “Black man for face, White man for yansh” cause I intend to play with it and twist it to suit my own interpretation so you can understand all I am about to tell you.

History has made it possible for a black man to feel that a white man is smarter than him, and that’s because we so much believe in hard work instead of working smart and thinking outside of the box. So “smart” makes F.A the only white man among his Liberian brothers who have broken their skin with sweat to accomplish everything we glorify them for in their music career this 2018, as F.A gets worshiped as the best musician in Liberia in 2018 for almost not doing anything but featuring one of Nigeria’s sweethearts which I believe is the reason why he is being nominated for “Best Male Artist Non Nigerian/Africa” in the Nigerian Entertainment Award.

Are you proud to know that the man representing your country as the best musician doesn’t even have a certified hit song this year? We shouldn’t confuse ourselves o! Doing a song with a popular musician from another country doesn’t make you a hit maker.

You shouldn’t be surprise if most Liberians are not even aware that F.A is still doing music or to say he dropped a song this year, to now crown it up by saying he featured Seyi Shay on it, because as far as most Liberians are concerned, the last song F.A did was two years ago “Desire” featuring another Nigerian sweetheart Chidinma, which had all of us in good spirit.

This song “Desire” would clear the tables of any award ceremony but yet it didn’t, it’s now that we are not even expecting anything from our one hit wonder that’s when we are getting such an image boosting report. F.A must have pulled his ropes right, being someone that have so fraternized with the Nigerian Entertainment Industry to the extent that he can get anything he wants from them[Award ceremonies play their own politics too like what we are seeing now lol…]. I appreciate his smart moves; it’s good to be smart, but if he had balanced this with hard work by producing similar results or better one’s than the other guys, we as Liberian’s wouldn’t raise questions if he deserved the nomination or not.

The creativity and wonders that Deng, Bucky Raw, Stunna, Bucky Raw, CIC, Kizzy W and Kobazzie have exhibited this year has gone beyond having sold out concerts home and abroad, or topping the charts, it’s a message to the world that Liberia is here to take over. F.A deserves to be congratulated too, at least even though he didn’t do as much as the rest, but being smart enough to ride on the increased fame of Seyi Shay for her role in the movie “Lara and the beat” So his country Liberia can also be respected among other nations is worth being proud of.

Take note, there are many ways to get into a house, some would pass the front door, some the backdoor, and some would interestingly go through the windows, but what’s most important is you find yourself in the house.

Congrats once more F.A
