LIBERIAN FASHION POLICE: Can Mo’eazzie Bring a Better Image to the Gospel Genre Through her Clothing Line?
Two sides of the coin are not the same. The image of female gospel musicians right now in Liberia have been stained with a scandal that involves an icon in this genre, Berenice Blackie having an ungodly relationship with a married man, leading to a child out of wedlock. I know you’ve heard the gist from our brilliant writer Jay Kamara who recently spiced your week with amazing details on the subject. But my issue now is our people have created a mindset especially on our Christian ladies doing their art in the diaspora, that they are not independent and real as they appear.
My question plays out like this, how can the one’s that are genuine breakout of this whole drama? Mo’eazzie is one popular gospel artist who is based in the U.S.A, do u think she’s living an hypocritical life too? Unlike someone that have to take refuge under someone’s husband arms to eat, Mo’eazzie is an independent young lady, who is making a business out of her brand. Which business is this? The first lady of Brain Records have realized that fashion in the house of God has a market. To be holy doesn’t mean you should dress as if God is dead, being unfashionable is an act of dirtiness, and as a preacher would say: the devil and his demons breathe in an unclean environment.
Her clothing line has this punchline “Daughter of the big God” which shows that she’s only concentrating on the ladies for now, maybe in the future she would cater for the opposite sex. Mo’eazzie outfits come as hoodies and casual tops for now. The University of Liberia graduate showed off her new creation at the video shoot of one of her songs this week “More than the world”. Her clothing line should be officially launched in November. We should support this movement, Mo’eazzie is really doing well in her career and other endeavors. With all that’s been said about her, i know it’s crystal clear to you that she can bring a better image to the gospel genre through her clothing line.DOWNLOAD – Mo’Eazzie -More Than The World- [Prod.
