It was another interesting edition of Hang out on Plus Liberia TV. The quick report I got from my team is that it’s her first Professional interview ever! How was I going to make sure she feels comfortable as possible on camera? The moment I got on set, I walked up to her, Wow! When I saw her, I thought she just dropped off from heaven, by the way that was my first time meeting Joicet, so her beauty, her height, and slim framed body amazed me, she’s the perfect way to describe a gorgeous woman. Before the interview proper, I had a chit chat with Joicet and at that point I was so sure of having a fantastic time interviewing her.
Joicet wasn’t the scary cat I assumed her to be since it should be her first TV interview, She was so confident and was so ready to let it all out. The first thing I said to her the moment the interview started proper was “how long did you do your make up?” and without holding her words back she said 30 minutes. That discussion led to me discovering that she’s a make up artist, she learnt how to make up from you-tube. Apart from make up, she’s also a Fashion designer and this is something she became through classes on you-tube also. Joicet explained to me how she got the chance to represent Liberia at the Miss Earth Pageant in Philippines.
She said that Miss Liberia Wokie Dolo held an audition and through that audition she was chosen. Her experience in Philippines was splendid, She only complained that it was a little bit hard for her to adjust to the food there, that she practically survived on bread and fruits. Joicet Foday said her most memorable moment is when it dawned on her that she was actually representing her country at the awards as she walked on the stage with other contestants.
The adorable damsel Joicet spoke about life after the Miss Earth Pageant, She said these words and I qoute: ” Life after miss earth has changed so much, I came back November 8, I have gained more confidence because of the pageant, so my aim is to focus on my career and also the things I learnt when I was in the Philippines, for example: i should be doing a clean up to promote an healthy environment.” Joicet Who is from Cape mount County is presently studying networking at starz college of science and technology, but her ambition is to focus on being an Entrepreneur because she believes that the labour market has no space for people to chase their dreams, so it’s just better to depend on a skill or trade that can help you live a financially stable life.
I asked Joicet to inspire those that are looking up to her with an advise especially young girls that may just want to make similar career choice. This is what she said, ” Well all I can say is you should make use of time now and learn for tomorrow “. I was just glad to know that we have youths like Joicet that has waved the flag of Mama Liberia on foreign soil.
