The Chorus is Catchy, you would get carried away by the lyrics and vibe of begging a guy called “Ebenezer” for the permission to be in a relationship with his gorgeous sister. The reality of this song is relatable, we actually have some very stubborn brothers that would happily go into a relationship with your sister, but if you make a mistake to show interest in their own sister, they would push their nose up and start doing crazy stuffs to abort your love for her.
The beat of the song could make you synonymize Dukeblac‘s name has “Mr Bombastic“, Beats like this just tells you that if Dukeblac does not stop in this motion, he would keep winning Producer of the year for all the awards in the country.
Pascal‘s Sixteen bars is practically the best rap he has ever performed in any song, He was so relaxed on the beat like a guy driving a Ferrari, every word he altered made sense. We have been complaining that HipCo is dead, but Pascal‘s flow is a great comeback for this genre of music. So at this junction, i will say that Pascal killed Ebenezer.
But as for Jaredo, Did he kill Ebenezer? Jaredo‘s energy on the song is lovable, but firstly he started the song by going off key, the part he introduced his name “JaJa“, then another thing is that he sampled too many Nigerian Songs, this might surprise you because i know you did not hear any popular Nigerian lyrics you know, even the unpopular ones, but what you should know is that Tekno‘s Enrima which he featured Davido and the Talented Fingers of Krizbeat on the instrumentals, had a major influence on Jaredo‘s delivery, then at the tail end of the song we could hear him going with Soft and Wizkid flow from the song “MONEY“.
Jaredo should have omitted other people’s flow on this song since he has the ability to create his own, Sadly Jaredo did not murder Ebenezer, he should have placed more effort into the song but he felt an ordinary freestyle would do justice.
Good ups Pascal and Dukeblac!
