It’s another fantastic year and we’re back again. We present to you the top 5 (five) hit songs released in January 2021.
Pascal – I Geh Time Seh – [Prod. Duke Blac]
“So your talking about me? I geh time seh”. Pascal, a famous singer whose new jam seems to be a little personal, never disappoints. Following what has been happening in the music industry, he sang this song because too many people been gossiping about him lately. “I Geh Time Seh” is about all his haters that has put his name in their mouths for the purpose of bad mouthing. Also, those that hate and gossip about him only because they are less busy and have absolutely nothing to talk about. So, he is telling them that he doesn’t have time for them. Pascal even went to the extent of saying, people who act like they know his story and they’re sharing it all around are “Gees Guplor”. Can you imagine? Notwithstanding, he said that since his gossipers got freedom of speech, then they can continue gossiping for all he cares.
Skinnyboi Kpanto – I Die? – [Prod. A.Fo4doe]
Kpanto “I Die” is more of not giving up, not allowing things bother you, just staying on a lowkey and accepting whatsoever life might bring. Since the year started, he hasn’t eaten fried chicken, neither has he gone to a restaurant to eat, and most especially, he hasn’t done woman bayney. The bottom line is, accepting things the way they come. Not having access to all these things did not kill him. That’s why he said, “I will not die”. Meaning, he is a survivor and his problems won’t kill him.
Cjay Feat. Skales – You – [Prod. Kizzy W]
Something got us wondering. Who is this girl that is always on CJay’s mind? CJay explicitly states that this person makes him feel like somebody, he loves her so much, he wants to be with her ALWAYS and all he does is for this special lady. Skales, a Nigerian musician then came in and promised to make both Liberian girls and Nigerian girls famous because they rock his world and their beauty is something unexplainable. From Monrovia down to Lagos, these artists are making us vibe to this new jam without a doubt.
Nasseman Feat. Kizzy W – Say My Name – [Prod. Kizzy W]
Nasseman dropped this song to an unknown lady. Say My Name; anytime you call on me, I’m coming and I’ll make every second and minute worth it. What more can she ask for? Nasseman has given the assurance that he will come whenever his lady says his name.
Imagine, the girl’s body turn him in and even upside down. The message passed in the song was clear and well understood. Indeed, the artiste expressed himself through this song.
Eric Geso Feat. Natif – Kekeleh – [Prod. Mz Exclusive]
Were you also thinking what Eric Geso meant when he said “KEKELEH”? I guess you weren’t alone. However, the award winning artiste Eric Geso newest song “Kekeleh” is based on chilling. He mentioned that he can’t chill with Kekeleh; someone who can’t handle alcohol. Rather, he prefers to chill with someone who can boil all day without getting drunk. Later, the uprising artiste Natif came in saying Eric Geso called him to boil because he isn’t a “Kekeleh”. They both got us vibing to this jam.
The love shown to these top 5 (five) songs is astounding. Fans and friends keep supporting Liberian artists on a daily basis and this is so awesome. Listen and vibe to the top 5 songs in the month of January.
