JZyNo

Many top artists around the world today had some difficulties. Our MCN, JZyNo, isn’t an exception. If it wasn’t for his hard work and determination, he wouldn’t have reached to where he is today. Indubitably, JZyNo is considered as one of the brains behind the movement of Liberian music. His unique vocal has penetrated borders and secured him a concrete spot at the top. Let us all recognize his hard work towards the growth of Liberian music.

Jonathan Lee Pratt, who goes by the stage name “JZyNo”, is an award-winning Ghana-based Liberian Afropop artist(born January 3, 1995). JZyNo had a really tough time to the extent that he didn’t get to link up with his friends while growing up. This was all because he was partially a breadwinner for his family. He needed to sell coal, gari, cool-aid, and scratch cards as a means of putting meals on the table for him and his family. Our MCM always worked in silence by consistently selling his coal and other things in Duala Market, Liberia. With the help of God, he got elevated to selling gasoline in New Kru Town, Liberia. At that moment, success was coming his way bit by bit. After a while, JZyNo decided to work towards his long-time dream which is music. JZyno needed to focus on his education and business, and at the same time get leisure time to practice and write music.

JZyno being a smart artiste quickly discovered what the fans would be interested in. He drops “Kpan Kpan Me” which brought him to the limelight. He features Teddyride on that single. For the fact that other top artists saw what he had in him, they didn’t hesitate in collaborating with him. Since then, JZyNo has featured many top artists including Medikal from Ghana with the song tagged “Fall Down Inside”, and Kpanto with the song tagged “I Like It”. He collaborated with many other top artists including DenG, Kizzy W, Krymi, and many others.

Aside from music, JZyno is also a humanitarian. JZyNo has contributed to the livelihood of many Liberians both in and out of Liberia. A typical example would be his contributions toward the bereaved family of the thirty people who lost their lives at pastor Abraham Kromah’s crusade in New Kru Town a few months ago.
